Carmen Elly Wilkerson is an Alumnus of The American Film Institute’s Directing Program. She is a past winner of The Hollywood Foreign Press Award for Directing, A Cine Eagle Award and The Director’s Guild Student Award. Her film, A GUY WALKS INTO A BAR, starring Fred Savage appeared in over 30 festivals and won best short in 5. After it’s broadcast debut on Showtime, Variety called it a ‘mini cult classic’.
Carmen was the winner of The Guy Hanks Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellowship and spent a year in the CBS Director Training Program on NCIS and CSI-New York. In 2012 her feature screenplay, EVEN FLYGIRLS GETS THE BLUES made the finals of the Sundance Writer’s Lab. Carmen has worked in the industry as a First Assistant Director, Casting Director and Editor. Carmen currently is in development on the feature length version of THE REUNION.
